US HISTORY END OF COURSE / STAAR REVIEW
History is the study of the past, specifically how it relates to humans. It is an umbrella term that relates to past events as well as the memory, discovery, collection, organization, presentation, and interpretation of information about these events. History can also refer to the academic discipline which uses a narrative to examine and analyze a sequence of past events, and objectively determine the patterns of cause and effect that determine them.
This course; United States History (1877 to the present) gives students the information and resources to completely understand what has transpired in the U.S. since the Civil War; and also a way of providing "perspective" on the existing challenges of everyday life in the present.
